Our Tallow and Zinc based Balme de Soleil is a completely natural, toxin-free alternative for nourishing your skin while you’re out in the elements. Made with only skin-loving, whole ingredients—no synthetic chemicals, preservatives, or fillers—this balm offers a clean, gentle way to care for your skin outdoors. Safe, simple, and effective—just as nature intended.
Balme de Soleil has been formulated to support the skin’s natural barrier while providing nourishing care during outdoor exposure. It features 20% non-nano zinc oxide,
Zinc oxide works by sitting on the surface of the skin and acts as a physical barrier that can help to reflect and scatters harmful UV rays, unlike chemical sunscreens, which absorb UV radiation. Zinc oxide provides natural protection without being absorbed into the skin. It’s gentle, non-irritating, and especially well-suited for sensitive or compromised skin, making it a popular choice for natural and mineral-based skin protection.
Apply generously before sun exposure and reapply regularly throughout the day, especially after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. Avoid prolonged exposure to strong midday sun and take additional sensible precautions such as seeking shade and wearing protective clothing and hats.This balm is suitable for face and body, but as with any new product, we recommend a patch test before first use. Avoid contact with eyes and broken skin.
Please note, this product has not been tested or rated for SPF and is not a certified sunscreen. We recommend taking all standard precautions when spending time in the sun, including wearing protective clothing, seeking shade, and limiting prolonged exposure.
This formulation also includes:
- Coconut oil – valued for its antimicrobial properties and its ability to soothe and soften the skin.
- Avocado oil – a deeply penetrating oil rich in oleic acid, sterols, and antioxidants, ideal for dry or environmentally stressed skin.
- Red raspberry seed oil – high in polyphenols and essential fatty acids, offering antioxidant support and helping to improve skin elasticity.

Chamomile and lavender essential oils – known for their calming, anti-inflammatory, and skin-soothing properties, ideal for sensitive or reactive skin.

I had been looking for something as natural as possible to help mild eczema on my daughter’s face for some time. After trying and not succeeding, I was so close to visiting the Dr but fearful their option would be to prescribe medication that could have undesired affects. This product has been quite literally amazing. Within two days her skin was no longer flaky and the red and quite sore looking appearance had gone. We have used it twice a day now for a few weeks now and her skin is completely clear. I’ve now started using it on my own skin, it’s so good.
The scent is wonderful with the neroli and orange complementing each other perfectly, neither overpowering, just beautifully balanced.

Gorgeous scent, so gentle on my sensitive skin and makes my skin super hydrated and soft, I don't even wear make up anymore as its improved my skin massively!
Does exactly what it says. No fragrance, no greasy residue, and a tiny amount covers a lot. Sorted out the dry patches on my hands within a few days. Rub it between your fingers to soften it first and it goes on fine. Happy with it.

Since using this product about 6 months ago I have noticed a huge improvement in my skin - it’s so much softer and smoother, I’m now a total addict!
I have been an eczema sufferer from birth and now in my thirties I still have to use steroids to ease my flare up episodes which come quite regularly. I have tried several creams over the years so I am always very skeptical. What I noticed after three days of using naked tallow was that my skin was less itchy at night. I thought it might be coincidence so I decided to switch back to my regular cream but instantly my night itchiness came back. I will be now using naked tallow regularly for a longer period of time, since I had another itch free night last night after using it again. I think it’s definitely worth a try, it feels lovely when you apply it and I love that there’s only 2 ingredients in the cream. Even though it’s quite greasy, it doesn’t take long for it to absorb which is amazing. Overall very happy with the product!
